Jessica Jackson has always had a love affair with fashion. Managing clothing boutiques, Jessica dreamed of opening up her very own store. In the spring of 2011 Betty & June opened its doors. The name is inspired by her and her husband's fashionable grandmothers. Seasonally, Jessica travels to find her customers the very best collections from Los Angeles and New York based designers at every price point.
The Story of Betty & June
By Jessica Jackson
Betty, my grandmother, was the most elegant woman I have ever met. I can remember sitting at the foot of her bed, immersed in watching her get ready to host one of her cocktail parties.
As a little girl she was the first woman I ever thought of as being truly glamorous. Always in her arsenal...the perfect black dress, a lush fur coat, and the best jewels to match. Even a trip to the grocery store always included over-sized sun glasses and a patterned silk scarf as a head wrap.
Betty is in my heart and felt throughout Betty&June. If my customer is looking for that perfect dress for a night out, a luxe accessory, or those killer heels -- that is Betty.
June, my husband’s grandmother, was one of the most beautiful and amazing women I have ever met. June is a self-proclaimed ‘tomboy’ at heart.
Her stories and life have always reflected this as well, whether she was climbing trees or racing her brother’s home from school, she was never afraid to get dirty and the clothing at Betty&June reflect her spirit.
From the boyfriend jeans, burnout tees, to over-sized knit sweaters we feel her influence and they are essential to every wardrobe. Her style was extremely versatile, comfortable, total effortless beauty -- that is June.
